CLINT BARTON - HAWKEYE - AVENGER - THE WORLD’S GREATEST MARKSMAN ----- Clint Barton is a complex guy. He’s a jokester, often smirking and throwing out quips even in the heat of battle, but he knows when to be serious and he always gets the job done. He’s a solitary person, it comes from years of being a sniper, and often prefers his own company, but that doesn’t mean he can’t be sociable and he’s actually a pretty likable guy once you get to know him. He can be charming and fun, but he also enjoys pranks and teasing so can come across as annoying to some people. All of this lightheartedness, though, hides a distinct darkness. His life before S.H.I.E.L.D. is pretty much an off limits topic. He might tell stories about his time at the circus to those he considers friends, particularly under the influence of alcohol or when it makes a good joke, but otherwise he rarely speaks of his childhood. Trust is not something he gives away easily any more, and although he still loves quickly and deeply he keeps it close, more apt to hide his feelings than display them. Everyone he ever cared about betrayed him or left him in some way, and that left a deep impact on the archer. Despite his joking ways he follows orders well, though ever since the incident with Loki he’s been a bit more rebellious. He tries to hide just how deeply the whole situation affected him, but sometimes his mask slips. So what if he’s just human? He could lead this team just as well as anyone. He had singlehandedly gathered an entire strike force and almost succeeded in taking down the hellicarrier, after all. His memories of everything he said and did under Loki’s control are sketchy, but often he awakens at night in a cold sweet as they’re always clearest in his dreams, though the dreams can’t be trusted as truth. He harbours a lot of guilt and counts every death that day as one of his own, whether he personally killed the agent or not, even Coulson’s. Especially Coulson’s. As for actual relationships, Clint doesn’t really have that many. He has no family to speak of, Coulson being the closest thing he had to one. He’s still getting to know his new teammates but so far is closest to Steve. He admires the man’s strength and resilience and loves to hear stories from the war. Bruce is very solitary so Clint hasn’t put in much effort yet to know him; Tony is entertaining but can also be irritating with his tendency to pry and prod; and Thor Clint is a bit wary of, mostly due to Loki. Clint still pulls some double duty with S.H.I.E.L.D., and has great respect for Directory Fury, though he’s on a bit of shaky ground with Agent Hill. Last, but most certainly not least, is Natasha. They’ve been partners for years now and have been through a lot together, and she is the one person he truly trusts and will open up to. She knows most of his secrets, though even her he has been shutting out lately. Although he knows he could not have refused under Loki’s control, he feels guilt for having betrayed her by telling all her secrets to the God, and he often has nightmares where their fight went wrong and she wasn’t able to stop him. After everything, though, it’s becoming harder to deny his feelings for her that have been steadily growing over the years. A complex guy, a walking contradiction in some days, but no one can ever say that Clint Barton is boring.

ALL THE FEELS! So clearly we need a scene. Maybe just something quiet somewhere? Or they could be sparring. I have lots of ideas, just trying to decide where to start! Thoughts?

CLINT & MAYA ------------------------------She is a newly assembled hero, or she is trying to be, at least. Probably going to take some heroes a while to get used to her, I suppose. Don't know how things will go down for Clint and Maya, thought. Any thoughts or ideas?

Maya: is she already part of the Avengers, or were you looking to have her get recruited? Or is she a SHIELD agent? I should probably just read her bio, lol. But if I know where you wanna start her in the game I'm sure I can come up with something.

Clint and LokiDid you miss me?Ahem, anyhow. I don't see these two being thrilled to see each other. Like... at all. Loki knows full well what he did to Clint and while he may not be influenced by the Chitauri or the Tesseract himself anymore, he's not going to be repentant. So long as Hawkeye doesn't shoot at him though, he'll likely just aim venom filled snark Clint's way.

Okay now that I'm home I can do a proper post in here. BUT SERIOUSLY ALL THE FEELS FOR THESE TWO. I MEAN, LOOK AT THIS GIF!
Oh my gosh I just got an idea for a thread okay... "What did Loki do to you?" "He didn't... just..." "Natasha?" "... I've been compromised."
Ugh the way he whispered her name, he was so worried and the way he looked up when she said she'd been compromised... It's like they have this whole hidden love for each other and now Loki knows and skhgjkhskjhjkshksh FEELS, SO MANY FEELS. I get the feeling that something significant happened in Budapest.
Anyways, my idea for a thread. Either she tells him what Loki said he would do, or Clint finds out for himself using security footage or something? Then it could get all fluffy and full of Clintasha goodness? Natasha really doesn't believe that love is for children, not when it comes to Clint.

Loki: Clint is not gonna be happy to find out Loki is back, the god is the one person he can honestly say that he absolutely hates. Any meeting between them will definitely be filled with much anger and tension. What's the deal with Loki now? Is he just chilling in NYC or being held somewhere?
Natasha Gosh, yes, all the feels! Here's a question: how do you feel about a slow build? Like he keeps shutting her out more and more until they finally have a confrontation where everything just comes out? Or if he finds out from Loki what he said to her about making Clint kill her and then he goes to talk to her about it? Though I'm sure he could have gotten Tony to hack SHIELD's system to get the security footage and hear the conversation for himself, which could be interesting.
Also, what's your take on their relationship? 'cause I've played it several ways, from them already being in a sexual relationship (like to relieve tension after battle or as a distraction to fight away demons) but not admitting feelings to them just never crossing that line and being only friends/partners.

Yes to him shutting her out more and more. She would be pissed that he's not as open as he used to be and a part of her would be wondering if she had done anything wrong or done something to upset him. And she would go to him ready to confront him, they yell and Nat threatens to shoot him or something, because we all know she has a bad temper, and then she spills the beans about what Loki said to her?
Just want to say that every time I scroll down to read your last post in here I stop on the Clint gif and snort at the way he wobbles his head, he's like a penguin or something. Anyways...
As for their relationship, how would you feel for them to be in that sexual relationship-after battle stage. But I can see Natasha wondering if Clint felt anything more for her, as she doesn't understand the whole love concept, and I can see her getting really mad or upset at him and then just blurting out the first "I love you" or something xD

Natasha: That works for me! That gives us material for at least a couple of threads where we can set up the growing rift before they have a bit blowout later on. And I'm definitely good with that relationship, it's how I tend to write it in my fics because I have a hard time believing that nothing has ever happened between them before. All those secret missions in various countries, battling baddies and patching each other up and holed up in cheap motels and safe houses until extraction? Oh yeah. And i do love that gif. I'm not certain they weren't drunk at that event by the interviews, lol. Him at least.

I think Jeremy was... "I get a lot of action. I sleep with ALL of them!" Oh Jeremy... xD
Yes! I know right! Ugh they're just so perfect, the amount of times they've been stuck together and needed each other to help them get through it, so much has happened. Which is why we need a movie for these two already! (Could rant for days about how much they need a movie)
I just love the dynamic between them. They know every little thing about the other one and can just have whole conversations buy looking at each other, so much chemistry there! So yes, we can definitely have a lot of fun threading this out! Shall I start or do you want to? I don't mind :)

Natasha: I think I have ranted for days about the need for that movie, especially when I read that Clark Gregg pitched one and Marvel turned him down cause it was a prequel and they wanna focus on current timeline. *sigh*
I'm back and forth to the kitchen getting supper going, so if you could start that would be awesome.

:sob: I know! Seriously, why can they not see that it would be amazing! Ugh and the other movies are all prequels basically, so ughhhhhhhhhhhh.
No problem, I'll go write one up!

CLINT & MAYA ------------------------------She isn't apart of S.H.E.I.L.D and hasn't really tried to join the Avengers, just figured I could introduce her to different characters. So, they can form opinions on her. Such as if she is a threat to anyone or if they can trust her. I wouldn't mind her joining the Avengers, one day.... though. lol It's all up in the air, for now. :3

Maya: So is she out doing heroic things on her own now? Cause we could do something random like have them be in the same area when a crime happens, a robbery or something, and they both break it up. Or if she knows who he is from any of the footage of the war she might approach him? Just a few thoughts.
